ACMobility has partnered with EVRO to ensure that their charging hubs are user-friendly and convenient.

Evro is an e-Mobility Service Provider that was developed and nurtured by 917Ventures, the tech innovation arm of the Globe Group, another Ayala Company. The Evro app is designed to make your life easier. It allows you to effortlessly locate charging stations in your vicinity, providing you with real-time information on charger availability and compatibility. With the app, you can conveniently plan and monitor your charging session from a distance, all while enjoying the convenience of cashless payments.

“Evro comes at perfect timing as we aim to provide a total EV ecosystem for Filipinos to enjoy. The introduction of new charging hubs such as what we launched today, and the development of innovative infrastructure solutions is proof of our strong commitment to providing a seamless, user-friendly charging experience for new and existing EV owners. A: While ACMobility’s standard connector supported is CCS2 and Type 2 for DC and AC charging stations, as mandated by the DOE, we have provided GB/T options for AC charging only.

Q: When do we expect paid charging? How much will we have to pay?

A: Charging at ACMobility stations is currently free until further notice. We are conducting studies to determine costs and expect to transition to paid charging sometime within the next quarter. We understand that some stations are already conducting paid charging. We expect to keep our rates close to current market rates and abide by the mandates of the DOE. We are also committed to ensuring our fees provide the best value to our customers. Rest assured we will make the proper announcements to communicate this transition to the public when we are ready.

Q: When I charge in a carpark, do I have to pay for parking?

A: Parking fees are covered not by ACMobility but by the property owner. Rates are subject to the discretion of each facility.

Q: How long does it take to charge on a DC charger? How about an AC charger?

A: Charging times tend to differ depending on the EV’s battery size, the vehicle’s capacity to charge, and the charger’s power capacity. Generally, you can expect an AC charger to take 4-6 hours to power up a vehicle from 10% to 80% (depending on the vehicle).  On a DC fast-charger, the same charge from 10% to 80% should take under 45 mins. Generally, EV users are advised to charge regularly, similar to how you would charge a mobile phone, so that charging is usually done to top-up.

Q: How safe is it to use a charger? Can I get electrocuted if I charge in the rain? Is there a chance my car will malfunction or explode if it is overcharged?

A: Modern EV chargers and charging ports are designed to be weather-resistant and safe to use in various conditions, including rain. All of ACMobility’s charging equipment offer weather protection as well and are situated in locations where hazards can be avoided. Modern EV chargers also come with multiple safety features such as ground fault protection, insulation monitoring, and automatic shutdown in case of faults. Furthermore, EVs are equipped with sophisticated Battery Management Systems (BMS) to manage the charging process and prevent overcharging. To guarantee the safety and reliability of the charging experience, ACMobility makes sure to use internationally-certified, high-quality chargers, and regularly perform maintenance checks to ensure charging units are in good working condition.

Q: Is it safe to leave the car plugged even after it’s fully charged?

A: Yes, it is safe to leave your car plugged even after it is fully charged, as the charging equipment automatically cuts power once the charging session is complete. However, for public chargers, we encourage users to be mindful of vacating the charging area once their session is over. This is to allow other EV users to take advantage of the facility as well.
